I spent the past 2 days rehearsing and filming a new show with Roy Underhill for the PBS show “The Woodwright’s Shop”. Since I was in his show and went through this process 3 years ago, I sort of knew the whole set-up and what the procedure was, so it didn’t take as long as the first time.
I showed the technique of carving the camellia flower (can’t get away from that carving), and it went really well. Since it is 24 minutes of filming with no editing, it can be pretty nerve-wracking – mainly because I only had a limited amount of wood to carve on. Roy even did some carving! No blood on this show – sorry…
Looking forward to seeing the show. Any idea when it will air?
I don’t know exactly. I am assuming it will air in the fall. I seem to remember it was around October for the previous show I did. But it seems to show at different locations at different times. So… sometime this year??? I think you can probably find out from his website eventually.
I’m looking forward to seeing you in action again. I’ve been practicing since your last coaching!
