About the teacher

Charles Ramberg has been a professional Furnituremaker since 1983. He is
originally from the upper Midwest and has lived in Charleston for more
than 30 years. Throughout his life journey he has always been enchanted
with trees, wood and the delightful expression of that beauty in furniture,
boats and buildings.

As a professional Furnituremaker, Charles has been fortunate to have had a wide variety of project experience in residential, commercial, marine and ecclesiastic venues. As a primarily solo entrepreneur, he has honed techniques that merge machine usage for productivity with exquisite hand done details.

His furniture has appeared in the pages of more than a dozen magazines on interior design including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful and Elle Décor. Local press has included the Post and Courier, Charleston Style & Design and Charleston Home & Design. Charles’ furniture currently resides in homes from Phoenix, AZ and Snowmass Village, Co. to Park Avenue, Palm Beach and the Bahamas. Perhaps the most unusual delivery required the ferry to Nantucket . You can see some of his work at www.rambergfurniture.com.
