Whew! Got another video edited and up on the woodcarving school site – the fabulous and oh-so-popular ball and claw foot. This has been broken down into 5 different chapters and it goes for over 1-1/2 hours. It is almost in real time, so some of it can seem a little repetitive. The DVD is the same video and is 45 minutes in length – just with much of the repetition edited out.
So, if I get complaints from people with keyboard imprints on their forehead from falling asleep, just fast forward through those parts!
I also added a very short video on sawing out a cabriole leg. This only focuses on the lower part of the leg (not the knee) as it prepares for the carving of the ball and claw foot.
I still have the DVDs available for sale because some people like to have a library that they can store. I was actually surprised that I am still getting DVD orders after the web site is up.
Now I am actually going to go out to my neglected workshop and do some carving. Wow – I wonder if I remember how…
