Mary: You say I will need a 3mm v-chisel and 6mm “v”, I understand that much but you seem to never indicate what angle chisel you are using. For example I have 45, 60 and 70 degree “v” chisels, which one should be used?
Don
Hi Don,
Sorry for not clarifying, but 100% of my v-chisels, no matter what size have a 60 degree angle.
Thank you Mary.
You’re welcome Don! Enjoy!
Brought to you by the letter R and S..
:))
Hi Mary, On your letter carving lessons how do you draw the letter that you want to carve ? do you send a template of each letter? Or do I draw it freehand
Hi Daniel,
Unfortunately, I don’t go over the letter drawing process. That is an entire art in itself. You can get ideas of fonts from the computer (don’t use exact duplicate, as copyright can be an issue). Enlarge the letters to the size you want, and then customize them to make them your own. Use these letters as simply “guidelines” to letters.
Thanks Mary!!!
You’ver very welcome!!
