Ashley isles chisels

I’m a new member of the group. I’m not new to woodwork but I am new to carving. I’m looking at Ashley isles chisels at the moment. When I watched the video on tools. I seemed to sense a little off ness when you mentioned Ashley isles. Do you find an issue with them Mary ?

Hi Paul,

Ray Iles also has an online shop called The Old Tool Store, which, funnily enough, sells old tools. The old tools include a good range of refurbished carving chisels which are good value for money.

Hi Paul,

I really haven't used Ashley Isles much, but when students have brought them, they seem to work fine and do have a good reputation. My initial impression is that they seem heavier and "meatier" than Pfeil, but hold a good edge.
