Need help with very niche carving genre

So I've dabbled in carving for as long as I can remember but never had I been utterly consumed by it. That was until I became entranced by antique frames. I cant get enough of British/ French guilded Rococo style frames. The problem is I cant seem to find any books on them or the process. Im sure with some creativity I could figure out my way but Id like to learn about the traditional process. Id like to learn from some masters. Any help would be appreciated.
