Mary, was the bird on the pierced panel carved separately or part of the piece itself?
Hi Raymond. An extra piece of "bird shaped" wood was cut out, glued on and then carved.

The Greek god swirls look a bit like cinnamon roll swirls...always random and different sizes.
Yeah... not exactly what I was looking for in hair curls, but cool cinnamon rolls! 🙂
