Hi Owen,
"Making a Rubber Mold" is one of the lessons that we didn't package up for individual sale, because it is shorter than most. It is just a little over 10 minutes long, a bit shorter than anything else we made available for individual sale.
I just made it available as an individual lesson for $2.99. See the "Buy this lesson" button below the introduction or use this link:

This is a real neat project. A great Christmas present. I really liked your video because it gave a good view of each step that you did and also showing what tool is being used. I like your technique of mounting the cutout on a plywood board to make the carving easier rather than hand held. I need to watch the video again to see what you used to release the tape.
Again it was a good lesson. Merry Christmas.
Thank you Jerry!
I used denatured alcohol, but many solvents will work. Some just create a little more gumminess than others. Denatured alcohol was the one I discovered needing less clean-up, but on occasion it doesn't seem to be absorbed into the tape as much as it needs to be. So if the denatured alcohol doesn't get it completely loose, you may need to try something else. The best thing to do is experiment ahead of time with what solvent works best with the tape you are using.
For this one I transferred the template with carbon paper, and re-drew any squiggly lines with a pen. You may want to try using a hot iron to transfer a photocopy image (use high quality photo copy or laser printer, not ink jet) - this will transfer the lines exactly.
