Signs and laughs

I just wanted to say thank you to Mary for sharing a lifetime of experience with us- such a wonderful thing! When I was a little one -I used to draw all the time... I’d find any blank paper I could (and of course flip it over and draw on the back as well). This sign is the front and back of the same board ... because like when I was younger.... I just couldn’t stop!! 🙂 This sign is my second piece. (“Add Vodka” side still needs work 😉 )

Hope everyone has a good Friday and this gives you a smile 🙂

I love them!! That's an amazing start, and I can see you already understand the overlapping (which is often the most challenging for beginners). Keep up the good work!!

Thank you so much Mary! I have experience in hand engraving and I think  that helped me to better understand things in relief carving.

I looked up “overlapping” and ran into Grinling Gibbons! I remember seeing his name on the home page when I joined if I’m not mistaken?... Happily about to go down this rabbit hole!
Cheers-
