This is a brief introduction to "Carving a Trifid Foot."
This lesson teaches how to carve two basic styles of Trifid Foot - also called Drake Foot - as a structural detail for Queen Anne style furniture.

- Size: 2-3/4"x 2-3/4" x length of leg (varies depending on furniture design)
- Tool List: 6mm v-chisel; #1, 14mm flat chisel; #3, 6mm; #4, 14mm; #8, 10mm; #8, 10mm back-bent (optional)
- Skill Level: Beginner/Intermediate
*NOTE: This is a structural furniture detail and would traditionally be done in a hard wood such as mahogany or cherry. Basswood is soft and should only be used in this lesson to learn the carving technique.
