Mary, your work is beautiful! Wish you Blessings in all what You do!
Thank you! You are an amazing woodcarver yourself. All the best to you and yours.
I would like to use a different color stain on my carving. What types of stains will work. Do you use water based wiping stains?
What sort of two sided tape do you use. I have been using a painter’s drop cloth tape but it appears that the company no longer exists.
Thanks for a great lesson and your help.
Hello Thomas,
I use al types of stain – oil and water based. I would suggest doing a test before putting it on any of your carvings – just to be safe. The double-sided tape I use is golf grip tape, but woodworking stores also supply a tape similar to this. It is paper-backed. Have fun!
